Preparation and the setting of terms
Rituals begin before they begin. Choose a time when you will not be rushed and a place where you will not be heard or disturbed; privacy is part of the container. Sit or lie down, and take a few unhurried breaths on your own authority - the last few, in fact, because shortly the breathing will no longer be yours to manage. Now listen. Before her voice asks anything of you, it tells you what this session is: a structured exchange in which you will follow, and she will lead, and everything she instructs will stay inside limits you have already accepted. That statement is not a formality - it is the foundation of the whole ritual, and your assent to it is the first act of submission in the sequence. Let it be a real assent, given deliberately, because everything that follows is built on it: the induction, the deepening, the commands, the conditioning, and finally the return. You are not surrendering blindly into the dark. You are stepping into a structure, the way one steps into a known building - and the reason you can relax so deeply inside it is that the architect has already shown you the exits.
The opening descent (posture, breath, attention)
The ritual's first movements are addressed to the body, because the body is honest. Adjust your posture, she says, and you do - and the small correction, given and followed, sets the pattern for everything that follows. Straighten. Settle. Soften. Her instructions arrive one at a time, and each one is easy, and each one is obeyed, and the accumulation of that obedience begins to hum quietly in the background like a tuned string. Now the breath: in through the nose, slowly, on her count. Out on her count. The counting gives your breathing a keeper, and a kept breath is a deep one - longer, slower, more even than you would produce on your own initiative, because you are producing it on hers. With the body arranged and the breath managed, the last unclaimed territory is attention itself, and she gathers that too: focus on the voice, only the voice, and let each of her sentences be the entire content of the present moment. Notice, dimly, that everything she has taken from you so far - posture, breath, attention - was taken by being given an instruction and having it followed. That is hypnotic domination in miniature. The trance that follows is just the same exchange, continued deeper, until there is nothing left to manage and nothing that wants to.
Deepening the ritual
Ten steps down, and she tells you what each one means: with every number, a layer of resistance - not the resistance of unwillingness, but the ordinary resistance of a mind that is used to being in charge - sets down its work and rests. Nine, and the room behind your eyelids darkens comfortably. Eight, and her voice gains a closeness it did not have a moment ago, as if she has stepped inside the space your attention drew around her. Seven, six, five - halfway, and here she pauses the count for a moment to reinforce the frame: you are doing exactly what you chose to do, and that is why it is working. Four, deeper. Three, deeper. Two. One. The count ends and the ritual proper begins, because now you are in the state it was all designed to reach: relaxed past analysis, focused past distraction, and - most importantly - practised in the small act of following, so that the following can now become the substance of the session rather than its preparation. In this place, her words do not compete with your thoughts for room. There is room only for her words, and the quiet, glowing space they leave behind in you.
The ritual of service (core suggestions)
What she asks of you now is simple, repeated, and arranged like the stations of a practice. Kneel, in imagination - feel the descent of it, the settling of your center low to the ground, the naturalness of the angle at which you look up toward her voice. Hold still, she says, and stillness arrives in you as a skill rather than an absence, every small impulse to move noticed, held, and released without acting. Repeat, she says, and gives you the words - I obey, I serve, I am hers for this hour - and you find them in your own inner voice and discover they fit as though they had been measured for you, because in a sense they were: you chose this session, and the phrases only say so out loud. With each station, the association strengthens: obedience and warmth, service and safety, her approval and a pleasure that arrives without effort or touch. This is conditioning in its gentlest and most deliberate form - not the rewriting of a person, but the rehearsing of a preference you brought with you. And through all of it runs the thread of her attention, which is the real gift of the ritual: she notices. When you hold still well, she knows. When the phrase lands, she hears it land. Being watched over this precisely, inside a structure this clean, is what the whole genre is selling - and here, at the bottom of the ritual, it is being delivered.
Sustaining and conditioning
The middle of the session stretches and deepens, unhurried. She cycles you now - a soft fractionation, up enough to feel the edges of the room, and then down again, further than before, the ritual's stairway worn smooth by repetition so that each descent is faster and deeper than the last. With every cycle, the conditioned associations settle one layer deeper: her voice and the feeling of rightness, the act of following and the reward of praise, the structure of the ritual and the safety of being inside it. She is patient about this, because patience is what conditioning rewards - a fact rushed is a fact lost, but a fact repeated gently becomes part of the furniture of the mind, and can be visited again in future sessions simply by returning to this one. Somewhere in the sustained depth you may lose the sequence of stations entirely, time softening into a single extended moment of purposeful calm - that is not a failure of attention, it is the ritual working as designed. There is nothing left for you to hold. She is holding everything: the pace, the structure, the depth, the care. All that is asked of you is the one thing you came to give, over and over, each time a little more easily: yes.
The release (emergence and restoration)
A ritual of control that ends sloppily would undo its own meaning, so this ending is as structured as everything before it. She tells you that the service is complete - that you performed it well, that the hour is honored, and that what happens now is the final station: the return. The count comes back up, and with each number she gives something back. The breath returns to your own rhythm, and you feel the ordinary miracle of inhaling on nobody's count. The attention widens, the room reassembling itself around you. The body's small authorities return one by one - the choice to shift, to stretch, to open the eyes when you are ready. And then, explicitly, in plain words, she restores the frame: the obedience stays with the session; the triggers and phrases sleep until you choose to wake them; and the control she held is yours again, whole and undiminished, exactly as it was handed over. Sit up slowly. Let the afterglow do its work - the calm, the clarity, the faint sweet tiredness of having been deeply focused. You built nothing permanent and gave nothing away. You performed a ritual of control and release, and both halves of it are now complete: the control was hers, and the release is yours.
